Located in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, Compass is a community-based mental health program supporting adults in Fitchburg and surrounding communities living with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and other persistent mental health conditions who are looking
for connection, structure, and a supportive community.

Which means:

  • You belong here.
  • You are more than a diagnosis.
  • We work together, side-by-side as members
and staff, to make change happen.

Compass is a place where everyone has the opportunity to share their gifts and talents. We celebrate the many cultures, languages, and life experiences that make up our North County community, and we work every day to create a space that feels welcoming, respectful, and safe for all.

What Happens at Compass?

You’ll find active working hubs throughout the building: places where members collaborate, connect, and create together.

Every weekday, we operate through what’s called a work-ordered day. Members and staff work together to run the Clubhouse: planning events, preparing meals, welcoming
new members, managing communications, organizing activities, and more.

There is structure, purpose, and shared responsibility. You don’t have to be “ready”
for a job. The work here is about rebuilding confidence and connecting with others.

Beyond Work

Support for Your Whole Person

A full life takes so much more than a job. We stand beside our members in the parts of life that make real stability possible: at home, in their families, and on the days that can be the hardest to face alone.

Housing

A steady home is the foundation everything else is built on. When members need housing, we closely support them with the help of trusted community services that open doors to safe, stable places to live.

Family

We support the whole person, and for a parent, that means the whole family. We help members show up for their children and connect families to the resources they need to move forward together.

Holidays

The hardest days to be alone are often the ones everyone else spends together. So while many places close for the holidays, our doors stay open. The Compass community gathers to share a meal and each other's company.
